  • House Open - view the Hall (some rooms downstairs will contain Tudors!).

  • Gardens Open - in all their summer glory! Over 10 acres of garden, moats, ponds and woodland. Breathtaking.

  • Step back in time to see everyday life in Tudor Times

  • Tudor Activities - over 200 Tudors about the manor, under cover and in the grounds - lots of activities to try your hand at and join in with

All of our activities will go on, whatever the weather, and your visit can certainly fill a whole day. Come early and stay for the day, there is so much to see and do - a visit to a Kentwell event really is a whole Day Out!

We'll also be serving delicious lunches, teas and snacks in our Stableyard area.

Our most hands-on re-creation this year. Don't just 'visit' - join in with the event!

Meet the Tudors

A follow-up to the Great Annual Re-Creation, Tudor High Summer is a very popular re-creation with Tudor activity in the House, Moat House, Gardens and Farm. With approximately 250 costumed Tudors, it carries through as many of the Great Annual Re-Creation's themes and activities as possible, however there is no Time Tunnel.

Try your hand at being a Tudor!

Don't just meet the Tudors, get involved with Tudor crafts and activities - and its not just for children, adults can join in with Tudor life too.

Most work areas will include a tactile experience; it's your chance to try your hand at being Tudor!

House, Garden & Farm are open

The House is open with Tudor activities in some of the downstairs rooms which are fully accessible. There will be Tudor activity in the Dairy, Bakehouse, Stillroom and Needle Room in the Moat House and the Camera Obscura is at its best at High Summer.

In the Garden, the Potager and Herb Garden are usually fine and the espaliered apple trees should be fruiting a'plenty. We expect the roses on the Moat walls and the Gardens to be in full bloom.

Please do not think that Kentwell is just a fair weather visit - we carry on whatever the weather! There will be both indoor and outdoor activities and some of our outdoor activities can be moved inside if the weather fails us.

How long to spend?

Most people arrive early and aim to spend most of the day here - there is so much to do and see.

We shall be be serving homemade lunches and teas in the Stableyard Restaurant.

There is a picnic site by the Main Gates, with a marvellous view of the house, however we do not allow picnics inside the grounds.

Please do not attend in Costume!

We ask that visitors to any Kentwell event do not attend in any sort of costume.
