Kentwell’s School of Sorcery -The Quest for The Firestones

Sat 21 October to Sun 29 October
Morning and Afternoon Sessions daily

Magic, Mystery, Enchantment and Fun designed for under 14 year olds

This October Half-Term, join us for our most fun children’s event of the year.

This Halloween, Kentwell’s School of Sorcery and Magic will again be accepting new students. Bring your children for a morning, or afternoon, of fun filled magical learning and help us solve the Quest of the Firestones as you meet various interesting characters who will set you halloween inspired challenges. Along the way have a go at:

  • Wand making
  • Raven Class: meet owls and ravens and other magical birds of prey
  • Spell School: The Great Edmundo's magic show
  • Potion Class
  • Our Broomstick Challenge obstacle course and other activities to get little folk running around.

And earn your certificate as proof of attendance.

Sessions: Activities take place in two daily sessions - we have a morning session, from 10.30am to 1pm and an afternoon session from 1.30pm to 4pm.

Our Stable Yard Tearoom will be open and serving ghoulishly delicious food and seasonal snacks as fits this most haunting time of the year!

Dress up in your favourite Halloween outfits, or come in outfits suitable for the School of Sorcery, for double the fun -but make sure you are wrapped up warm underneath them, and feel free to wear your magical wellies, as most of the activities will be outside.

Advance booking essential - though we may have a few tickets available to buy on the day!

Access: some activities take place in our 15th Century Moat House building, which cannot accommodate pushchairs or prams (prams and pushchairs must be parked outside) and has limited disability access. Elsewhere, access is acceptable but may be more challenging in wet weather.

Age range: this event is specifically created for children to enjoy up to the age of 14, however we do not put restrictions on children over this age range if they would like to attend.

Can we leave the children for the day?
No, a parent or guardian or carer must be with and supervise their children at all times.

Will it be scary?
No, it is not intended to be scary. it will be more Halloween-inspired, suitable for younger visitors!

What should we wear?
Please ensure that children are dressed suitably for activities outdoors as well as indoors, as this event will be going ahead whatever the weather. Fancy dress encouraged for twice the fun!

What about Hungry Little Monsters?
A range of ghoulishly delicious food and snacks will be available for your little monsters from the stableyard. Food for big monsters will be available too!

Will the House and Gardens be open?
The main House will not be Open but the adjoining Moat House will be a main centre of activity. Elsewhere the Gardens will be used but not the Farm area which is given over to Scaresville, our adult scare event, which is closed during the daylight hours.
