Built by John Clopton builder of Melford’s Church and his son Sir William between c1485 & 1530 it has been ‘improved’ since notably in 1825 and recently. Newborn Lambs - Gambolling lambs are the very embodiment of Easter you will find this year's young lambs out enjoying the new season’s grass.

Gardens - massed spring bulbs in drifts of daffodils until they give way to the delightful cowslip, widespread here. Wander the Gardens. Feed the Carp over the Moat Bridge and enjoy massive drifts of daffodils abound. It's a lovely time to see the Gardens - charming as their winter starkness leaves.
