Type A: evidence relating to the people/persons with a disability – showing they need care (no existing relationship with a carer need be proved):
A letter from the local authority of the member confirming that they are in receipt of a Personal Independence Payment (the replacement for the Disability Living Allowance)
A letter from social services confirming the member’s registration as blind or partially sighted
A letter confirming that the member has been accepted for the Blue Badge scheme
Type B: evidence relating to a carer – showing that they are recognised as a carer for the member in question
A letter from the local authority of the carer confirming that they are in receipt of Carer’s Allowance, or are in some other way recognised as a carer by the local authority
A letter from a GP confirming that the carer has registered with them as a carer
A registered carer card provided as part of another scheme (e.g. CredAbility Access Card, CEA Card, etc)

No dogs, except guide dogs are allowed on the grounds.

We do not allow picnics in the grounds. You are welcome to bring your own picnic to enjoy at our picnic area just outside the front gates. The picnic area provides a perfect setting with sun and shade and a picturesque view of the house.

No, for health and safety reasons and because the gardens are Grade I listed we do not allow bikes or scooters in the grounds.

Kentwell Hall is privately owned and we are not part of the National Trust or English Heritage.

Photography is allowed for personal and non-commercial use within the Gardens, House and surrounding buildings. To protect paintings and objects, copyright of loans, individual privacy and the overall visitor experience we ask visitors to refrain from using tripods, selfie sticks and flash photography in the House.

If you wish to enter the tea room you must also purchase at least a Gardens Only ticket, this is because the tea room is located well within our gardens and grounds.

Yes, for our general admissions and events we have a discounted ticket for both people with disabilities and carers.

Within reason, Kentwell Hall aims to collect, store and return items of property that are deemed to be genuinely lost by visitors and guests in the House and Grounds and likely to be sought by the original owner.

The use of UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) or drones is not permitted on or over Kentwell Hall without prior approval. If use is approved by Kentwell Hall then the conditions will apply. These conditions and details for how to apply for approval can be found here.

We do not allow smoking or vaping in any grounds, including the Gardens, Shop and House. Please be mindful of other visitors if you do smoke or vape in front of the gates.

No, we do no accept cash payments on-site. All transactions must be completed using digital payment method, such ascredit or debit cards, mobile payment apps, or other electronic payment systems. This policy helps us ensure faster and more secure transactions.
