Step back in time almost 500 years to experience everyday life in Tudor Suffolk.

Monday 23rd June is a day reserved solely for home-educating families.

Just as Kentwell has days for schools, the Midsummer Home Ed Day allows families and home-education groups the freedom to plan their own day.

See, hear, touch and smell 16th Century England brought to life by over 250 of Kentwell’s skilled Living Historians, working and playing throughout the buildings and grounds of the Kentwell manor.

With the crafts, cooking, food, music and dancing - as well as the gossip that accompanies the life of a small village - you will travel back in time and spend a whole day lost in Tudor England.

Visitors are encouraged to talk, listen, question and take part in some of tasks and activities. This is learning at its very best.

With the freedom to go anywhere, visitors can take as much or as little time as they choose in any area.

As well as increasing historical knowledge and providing excellent fodder for creative writing and reporting, this is an active outdoor day - a breath of fresh air for everyone!

Come as you are - or dress up as a Tudor: from princess to peasant!
