Step into a Dickensian Christmas at Kentwell Hall
Experience the charm of a traditional Victorian Christmas at Kentwell Hall.
Visit the bustling Hall decorated for Christmas in 1869 as the family and staff prepare for a large dinner party. Warm yourselves by the roaring fires as you help the family decorate their tree.
In Moat House Lane, some of the poorer people keep warm in the Brew House and celebrate their own Christmas in the bakehouse kitchen and the toy workshop.
There are readings of A Christmas Carol by Mr Dickens, Music Hall performances and a Magic Show throughout the day.
In between, the Victorian Tavern is open for mulled wine and hot chocolate and there is carol singing at the end of the day.
Younger visitors can meet Father Christmas and some of his Elves and Mother Christmas will help them write and post their present lists.
Perfect for families, this event offers a heart-warming celebration filled with nostalgia, joy, and festive cheer.
